Description
The Demo Badge serves as an educational IoT learning tool that showcases a fully integrated connected product developed by Thomas Kriechbaumer, a Senior Solution Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This Demo Badge is tailored for the IOT202 Workshop at re:Invent 2023, designed to help developers and enthusiasts understand how to integrate AWS IoT services into their connected products. It covers AWS IoT Core, AWS IoT ExpressLink, Amazon Sidewalk, and more.
Different classes of products such as toys, kitchen appliances, and vacuum robots can utilize the same building blocks as the Demo Badge. This includes a central microcontroller that connects various components like buttons, LEDs, a display, and a connectivity module, resulting in a similar architecture among them.
The parts of the Demo Badge are clearly labeled for easy identification. While the supporting circuitry and parts are not labeled, they are not necessary for this workshop. You will interact with the Demo Badge, its integrated connectivity modules, and perform tasks such as software programming, button presses, LED animations, and sensor manipulation.
All content, material, and source code is available on the
It also contains a link back to the workshop page and its instructions.
